Frequently Asked Questions

You should consult a gynaecologist if you experience irregular or painful periods, unusual discharge, pelvic pain, missed periods, or if you are planning a pregnancy. Routine annual check-ups are also recommended for preventive care.

You should ideally schedule your first antenatal visit as soon as your pregnancy is confirmed, usually within 6–8 weeks. Early consultation helps ensure proper monitoring, supplements, and guidance from the beginning.

A pregnancy may be considered high-risk if you have conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, thyroid disorders, multiple pregnancy (twins), or a history of miscarriages. Regular monitoring and specialized care help ensure a safe pregnancy.

Mild discomfort during periods is common, but severe pain that disrupts daily activities, heavy bleeding, or pain lasting several days should be evaluated to rule out conditions like fibroids or endometriosis.

Pap smear screening is generally recommended every 3 years for women aged 21–65, depending on previous results and medical history. Your doctor will advise the appropriate schedule based on your individual risk factors.
